Hami Hill residents eye school site for development

Hamilton Senior High School could be the site of a new cutting-edge residential development once its students have moved to the new Fremantle College.

The site, which is located along Stock Road in Hami Hill, is expected to be sold when the amalgamation of South Fremantle Senior High School and Hamilton Senior High School is completed in 2018.

State Labor MP for Fremantle Simone McGurk recently joined members of the Hamilton Hill Community Group, Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett and Councillor Lyndsey Sweetman on a tour of the award-winning WGV development in White Gum Valley, which could serve as a model for the Hamilton Hill site.

“WGV is an innovative and forward-looking residential development, which has a sense of community at its heart,” Ms McGurk said.

“It’s great to see Hami Hill residents already looking at options for the high school site, which can only lead to better outcomes for their community.”
