Palmyra residents rally against Perth Freight Link
Around 60 Palmyra residents who were told their homes could be lost to the Perth Freight Link braved the weather last weekend to protest the Liberal Government’s plans to demolish their houses.
They were joined by Simone, WA Labor leader Mark McGowan and Willagee MLA Peter Tinley, who vowed to support residents in their campaign against the Perth Freight Link.
“This is a road that goes nowhere and if the Government gets its way, it could cost you your homes,” Simone McGurk said.
“We will make sure that we fight this road project and instead get freight on rail instead,” she said.
